Mr. Muhammad Aslam Shaikh, Judicial Member II, attended launching of “Rising to the Challenges, Gender-Responsive Policy” conducted by Sindh Commission on the Status of women and ShirkatGah held on 19th November, 2020 in Marriot hotel Karachi. It was presided by Barrister Murtaza Wahab advisor to Chief Minister Sindh on law.
It was emphasized that there was no policy of Government to face with the challenges on gender responsive violations. It was underlined that awareness programmes be conducted and training be imparted to the people, there is lack of inter-departmental coordination which requires to be improved.
It was urged that 10% quota in employment for women be filled in police department.
There is need to empower the women to take care of her and her family during COVID-19 or in emergency.
