The Government of Pakistan, led by the Ministry of Human Rights (MoHR), seeks to advance the Business and Human Rights (BHR) agenda in Pakistan through the development and implementation of a National Action Plan (NAP) on BHR. The Ministry has conducted a series of consultations throughout Pakistan to assess and compile the current state of human rights in the context of business. Mr. Zulfiqar Shah, Member SHRC/Joint Director PILER, and Ms. Fareeda Tahir, Public Relations Officer, SHRC had attended the consultation in Karachi. Mr. Zulfiqar Shah gave his views on the status of Business and Human Rights in Pakistan and Ms. Fareeda Tahir gave her input on the state based available mechanisms.
