The Chairperson Sindh Human Rights Commission Justice (R) Majida Razvi held a meeting with the delegation of Sindh Human Rights Defenders (SHRD) on 30th August, 2019. The SHRD delegation which included Advocate Ali Palh, Mr. Zulfiqar Halepoto and Mr. Umer Karim discussed the issues like enforced disappearances of the Political & Civil Society Activists and life security of the sanitary workers. The delegation stressed over the need for SHRC to intervene over the issues of “Right to Fair Trial” for the disappeared activists and “Right to Life” for the sanitary workers on which the Chairperson SHRC informed that that the cases regarding “Life Security of Sanitary Workers” is already pending before SHRC and soon the SHRC will issue holistic recommendations to the Government for improvement. The Chairperson further assured the delegation that the Commission will take up all such grave human rights concerns to the higher levels for further improvement.
