FeedBack Workshop Community-Centric Non-Economic Loss and Damage Framework for Sindh

At a workshop organized by the Indus Consortium, Sindh Human Rights Commission Chairperson Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Detho presented a report published by SHRC on the "Rights of People and State of Flood Rehabilitation in Sindh."

Mr. Detho emphasized the SHRC's extensive study on the 2022 floods' impact, particularly in rural areas. He highlighted the critical need to protect various human rights, including development, civil, political, economic, and cultural rights.

During his speech, He emphasized that SHRC members visited the flood-affected areas of Dadu, Larkana, and Khairpur to assess the situation and offer support. He stated that flood victims have a fundamental right to rehabilitation, which encompasses access to education, healthcare, and safe drinking water.
